LES PRODUITS FRANÇAIS À L'HONNEUR – Compte à rebours pour la “Grande soirée gastronomique franco-turque 2013’’

A l’occasion de la “Grande soirée gastronomique franco-turque 2013’’ (anciennement “Soirée Beaujolais nouveau’’)organisée chaque année par la Chambre de commerce française en Turquie, la rédaction du petitjournal.com d’Istanbul a rencontré son directeur en poste depuis 2003, Raphaël Esposito. La 13ème édition de cette soirée aura lieu jeudi prochain au Palais de France sous le haut-patronage de Laurent Bili, Ambassadeur de France en Turquie. Retour sur le rôle de la Chambre et de cette soirée.

C’est un moment de partage, de convivialité, d’échanges, de relationnel, associant vins, fromages et charcuteries français qu’on propose à nos adhérents, à nos partenaires, à nos sponsors et à leurs invités...

‘Moment and Time’ at Documentary Film Fest

The 16th Istanbul International 1001 Documentary Film Festival hosted by Beşiktaş Municipality, and organized by The Association of Documentary Film Makers in Turkey (BSB), debuted last night at Beşiktaş Çarşı Square with the screening of “The Little Team.” “Moment and Time” has been designated as the theme for this year’s festival. 

This year, 30 documentaries including 14 local and 16 foreign films will be screened at the festival until Nov. 17. Documentaries can be watched for free at theaters located at Sahne Beşiktaş, Ortaköy Culture Center (Afife Jale Theater), Levent Culture Center (Onat Kutlar Theater), French Culture Center and Nazım Hikmet Culture Center.

The festival will also provide workshops, which will include the “Turkey-Germany Co-production Workshop,” “The Importance of Archive in Digital Publishing”, as well as The Copyrights Panel”, and welcome all film lovers, particularly those with a penchant for documentaries, to Cezayir Restaurant. 

Also, within the “Pitching in Istanbul” Documentary Film Project, a cooking workshop will be delivered within the scope of the 16th Istanbul International 1001 Documentary Film Festival. The workshopis targeted at widening the pool global funds in order to facilitate access to co-production, distribution and screening resources.

A newly published book, ‘100 Films of Istanbul,’ explores the old and contemporary Turkish films that have used the city as a setting

The book focuses on Istanbul’s beauty and its reflection in films and books over the years, focusing on many popular locations. Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s ‘Three Monkeys’ was set in the nearby Eminönü.

A new book published as part of the Istanbul Municipality Culture Association’s “Istanbul’s Faces Series” explores the presentation of Istanbul on the silver screen. 

Researcher and writer Semra Kır has prepared the title, which gathers together the many movies and books that took place in Istanbul. “100 Films of Istanbul” reveals both the popular and the unknown movies on Istanbul, and has been published to mark the 99th year of Turkish cinema. 

The book focuses on Istanbul’s beauty and its reflection in films and books over the years, focusing on such popular locations as the Galata Bridge, the Princes’ Islands, the Bosphorus Strait, Rumeli Hisarı, the Grand Bazaar, Haydarpaşa Train Station, Eminönü, Balat, and Beyoğlu.

Istanbul’s TURVAK Cinema-Theater Museum opens today a photography exhibition, dedicated to the world-famous couple of Scandinavian cinema, Liv Ullmann and Ingmar Bergman. 

The exhibition, organized by the Norwegian Embassy in Turkey, in collaboration with the Norwegian Film Institute and TURVAK - Türker İnanoğlu Foundation, consists of 35 photographs illuminating the personal and professional relationship of Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann and Swedish director Ingmar Bergman. Including film stills, behind-the-scenes images and special portraits, the exhibition will later meet with audiences in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Dilek Yankaya décroche le prix de littérature France-Turquie

La sociologue Dilek Yankaya a été primée mardi 12 novembre par le prix de littérature France-Turquie pour son ouvrage La nouvelle bourgeoisie islamique, le modèle turc. Un moment fort pour la recherche turque auquel ont participé le député-maire Claude Goasguen et de prestigieux intellectuels comme Nilufer Göle et Nedim Gursel.

Le Müteferrika Musée papier Ibrahim a ouvert en mai à Yalova.  Le papier est fabriqué avec des méthodes traditionnelles dans le musée à l'aide de branches d'arbres, et les visiteurs alsoable à se joindre à ce processus.

La production de papier continue traditionnellement à la Müteferrika Musée papier Ibrahim, qui a été ouvert cette année par la municipalité dans la province du nord-ouest de Yalova. Dans un atelier mis en place à l'intérieur du musée, le papier est fabriqué avec des méthodes traditionnelles en utilisant des branches d'arbres, et les visiteurs sont également en mesure de participer à ce processus.

«De Balat à Bat Yam" fait partie d'un certain nombre de titres de valeur sur la communauté juive d'Istanbul dans le 20e siècle de la petite maison d'édition Balance. Les tirages de ces livres sont si minuscules que leurs sujets ne sont pas susceptibles d'être beaucoup moins obscure que ce qu'ils étaient avant, mais ils offrent toujours de la nourriture satisfaisante pour la pensée. Eli Shaul est né en 1916 et a grandi dans le quartier de Balat à Istanbul, avant de passer sur la Corne d'Or à Galata, puis migrer vers Israël avec sa famille en 1950. Des milliers de Juifs turcs ont connu une trajectoire similaire, mais pas tout le monde a laissé une telle trace écrite varié et stimulant que Shaul.

İslam ve tasavvuftan etkilenerek bestelediği 'Allah'ın Güzel İsimleri' adlı eserinin uluslararası prömiyeri 2007 yılında Aya İrini'de yapılan ve aynı yıl İstanbul Müzik Festivali'nden onur ödülü alan İngiltere'nin en önemli bestecilerinden Sir John Tavener, 69 yaşında hayata veda etti. Ünlü bestecinin 'Song for Athene' adlı şarkısı Prensesi Diana'nın cenazesinde çalınmıştı.

The Beatles’dan Björk’e birçok önemli isimle çalışmalar yapan ve özellikle İslam ve Doğu’dan esinlendiği birçok besteye imza atan İngiltere’nin en büyük klasik müzik bestecisi John Tavener, 69 yaşında İngiltere’nin güneyinde Child Okeford’daki evinde hayata veda etti. Genetik marfan hastalığı nedeniyle boyu sürekli uzayan (2007 yılında 1.9cm boyundaydı) Tavener, 1968 yılında The Beatles grubunun yardımıyla ‘Balina ve Kelt Requemi (The Whale)’ ile üne kavuşmuştu. 1970’lerde Ortodoksluğu seçen ve bestelerinde Bizans makamlarını kullanmaya başlayan Tavener, 30 yaşındayken felç, 1991 yılında aort kapağındaki sızıntı nedeniyle zor bir ameliyat geçirmiş ve Sufi müziğine, Kıpti ikonlara ve Kızılderili sanatına ilgi duymaya başlamıştı........
