With a new application, the Museum of Innocence will offer a new audio guide featuring the founder of the museum and the writer of the novel that inspired it, Orhan Pamuk.

Visitors to the museum will have the chance to visit the museum while listening to the story that Pamuk tells on the audio guide, aiming to keep the museum's authenticity.

In a recent interview Esra Aysun, the director of the museum said the move came as the museum does not have a traditional brochure. “In order not to be too institutional, the museum does not have a brochure. But we have seen that visitors ask about where they should begin. To keep the authenticity of the museum, Pamuk has become the audio guide,” Aysun said.

This year, 40,000 people visited the museum, and now it is considered to be the most mentioned Turkish museums in the world press. A total of 15,000 of these visitors were international, and 10,000 were students.

Around 6,500 visitors brought along their copies of the book, which had their ticket stamped on the final chapter and thus visited the museum for free.
