Festival Musique et Histoire pour un Dialogue Interculturel

Conçu par Jordi Savall, grand musicien espagnol reconnu à l’échelle mondiale, ambassadeur de la Paix pour l’UNESCO et ambassadeur pour l’Europe, Le Festival dévoile de nombreuses symphonies traditionnelles d’ici et d’ailleurs.

Le Service de la Culture et de l'information de Turquie renouvelle sa participation à cet évènement d’envergure qui permet la découverte de cultures et de talents à travers la musique ancienne ; pendant cinq jours, un panel de musiciens turcs et artistes venant de Grèce, d'Espagne ou encore de Syrie y sont attendus. Tout au long de cette opération, plusieurs concerts seront proposés.

Le samedi 16 juillet à 21h30 , les artistes Yurdal Tokcan , Hakan Güngör, Fahrettin Yarkın, Murat Salim Tokaç, Gürsoy Dinçer, Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Dimitri Psonis, Haig Sarikouyoumdjian, Gaguik Mouradian et Pedro Estevan accompagnés par Jordi Savall réaliseront un concert unique, rappelant les musiques jouées à Istanbul de 1600 à 1750. Interprétées avec les sons et les improvisations fascinantes des instruments, vous vous laisserez transporter directement au cœur même d’un Orient magique et envoûtant.

Elif Şafak takes a swing at Turkish bourgeoisie in latest novel

World-renowned Turkish author Elif Şafak tells the story of three girls - one sinner, one believer and one agnostic -- in her latest novel “The Three Daughters of Eve.” 

“This is the story of a woman’s quest for love, faith, God, identity, happiness. It is a very contemporary book that deals with some of the major issues of our time. There is also a sharp criticism of Turkish society and bourgeoisie,” Şafak told the Hürriyet Daily News in an exclusive interview.


The main character of the novel, Nazperi Nalbantoğlu - or “Peri” as her loved ones call her – is a “good person” in the eyes of her family and friends. In the book you ask “Is it possible to be good all the time?” So, is it?
There is no such thing as absolute goodness. But it is easy to assume that we are always nice and good people. That’s an illusion. In truth, we all have our weaknesses and follies. It’s impossible to try to erase all our negative sides. It’s crucial to be aware of them. “Know yourself,” is a good motto. And a universal one.


Peri’s story can be read as the story of Turkey. What kind of story is it?

Structures at Uşaklı Mound may be ancient Zippalanda

This year’s excavations at the Uşaklı Mound in Yozgat have unearthed two structures that may be part of “Zippalanda,” an ancient Hittite center. 

Last year, 4,000 year-old cuneiform scripts were found at the mound in the Central Anatolian province of Yozgat’s Sorgun district. 

Excavations started in 2008 in the Uşaklı Mound, close to the Büyük Taşlık village, by a team headed by Florence University Professor Stefania Mazzoni. This year works at the ruins have unearthed two structures, possibly a temple and a castle. 

The deputy head of the excavations, Florence University’s Valentina Orsi, said they were trying to know the field with a previous surface survey and the mound had “significant historical features.”

Aydıntepe, Bayburt’s underground beauty

An ancient underground city carved directly from the bedrock in the eastern province of Bayburt has become the most popular local attraction, while researchers continue their work to uncover the mystery of its creation and function.

The Aydıntepe underground city, which was discovered during construction work in 1988, is located two to five meters below the earth and is made up of galleries, chambers and wide halls carved out of the rock. 

The chambers open up to nearly one-meter-wide and two-meter-high galleries, which themselves open into wide halls.

Mersin's Aynalıgöl awaits visitors

The Aynalıgöl (Gilindire) Inn, which was discovered 15 years ago by shepherds in the southern province of Mersin’s Aydıncık district, and called the “eighth wonder of the world” by Turkish tourism officials, has been prepared to welcome visitors. 

“The Gilindire Inn was discovered by shepherds in 1999 in Aydıncık. Also known as Aynalıgöl, the inn is one of the most striking spots in Turkey,” Aydıncık Mayor Ferat Aktan said, adding that works are continuing to strengthen tourism infrastructure.

Aktan described the inn as a “natural wonder.”

“The stalactites, walls and stones formed inside the inn are so fascinating that one could spend hours there. The inn is also important in terms of tourism. It could be the eighth wonder of the world. Visitors will be surprised and fascinated at each step, while at one end of the inn there is a lake,” he said.

He also added that the ancient site of Kelenderis and the Susanlık Castle are among the places worth seeing in the area.


60 million years 
The Gilindire Inn, which is thought to date back 60 million years, is 55 meters in length and 46 meters in depth.

Located 47 meters below sea level, it has a number of remarkably well-preserved formations like stalactites and stalagmites.

The underwater formations at the inn contain all hydrological and atmospheric data of the Ice Age.

The inn welcomed around 15,000 visitors in 2014.

HAUT KARABAGH Les soldats Arméniens réalisent une découverte archéologique au Haut Karabagh lors du creusement de tranchées de défense

Le 5 mai 2016 à l’est de la République du Haut Karabagh lors des travaux de creusement de tranchées par les forces armées arméniennes, fut découvert un site archéologique avec des tombes antiques. Des tombes datant probablement du Ier siècle avant J.-C.

Diana Miridjanian, la directrice-adjointe du « Service de protection des sites historiques » de la République du Haut Karabagh a indiqué au correspondant de l’agence de presse « Artsakhpress » que lors des travaux réalisés par les militaires Arméniens, fut découvert deux champs de tombes anciennes de l’Antiquité, 2 vases entiers et 4 autres morceaux de vase. Des études sont actuellement réalisées pour examiner les données et déterminer avec précision leur datation ainsi que leur appartenance. Le porte-parole du ministère de l’Economie de la République du Haut Karabagh, Sergueï Chahverdian a déclaré que « les soldats Arméniens défendent non seulement les frontières de l’Etat, mais également luttent pour la conservation du patrimoine de notre culture arménienne. »

Le sol du Haut Karabagh, habité depuis des millénaires par de nombreuses civilisations, recèle encore de très nombreux trésors à découvrir.

LA TURQUIE AU FESTIVAL D'AVIGNON

 

LA TURQUIE EST PRÉSENTE AU FESTIVAL D’AVIGNON CE MOIS DE JUILLET 2016

La destination a apporté son soutien à des acteurs turcs venus d’Istanbul  et qui se produiront au Festival d’Avignon au travers trois spectacles, sous-titrés  en français. Leurs créations résolument contemporaines et internationales  pourraient bien les placer dans un futur proche parmi les forces novatrices du théâtre en Europe.

La compagnie Hayal Perdesi – en coproduction avec le Festival de Théâtre d’Istanbul – présentera « Les Trois Sœurs »d’Anton Tchekhov, adaptée et mise en scène par Aleksandar Popovski. Créée en Mai dernier à Istanbul, ce spectacle étonnant propose une relecture contemporaine d’un des grands classiques du théâtre. …Trois filles bloquées à la frontière. Elles attendent de quitter l’Est pour l’Ouest, dans l’espoir d’une vie meilleure. Trois actrices qui rêvent d’aller à Berlin pour y jouer la pièce « Les Trois Sœurs ». Elles se mettent à interpréter des extraits de la pièce de Tchékhov.

La distribution est emmenée par deux célèbres comédiennes turques Özge Özder  et Selin İşcan, accompagnées de la prometteuse Tuba Karabey. Cette pièce est la dernière production de la jeune compagnie turque Hayal Perdesi  créée en 2013 ; elle sera donnée au Festival Off d’Avignon en parallèle à leur précédente création intitulée «  Les Bâtisseurs d’Empire » , avant de poursuivre son chemin en Ecosse au mois d’août dans le cadre du 69ème Festival d’Edimbourg.

Une autre compagnie turque, la compagnie Pangar donnera une représentation intitulée « Les Cocons » du 7 au 30 Juillet au Théâtre de l’Entrepôt d’Avignon. Les trois comédiennes, grandes vedettes en Turquie, seront à l’affiche avec cette comédie, qui nous fera respirer dans un monde globalement terrorisé. Trois femmes au foyer se retrouvent à l’heure du thé. Pour ces femmes, le monde extérieur est synonyme de danger.Cette pièce en turc a été écrite par Adalet Ağaoğlu et mise en scène par Ayşenil Şamlıoğlu avec les comédiens Demet Evgar, Binnur Kaya et Esma Dermancıoğlu.
