The Greek-Turkish Youth Orchestra, which is composed of 50 talented young Greek and Turkish musicians and is now in its sixth year, performed a concert on July 31 in the ancient city of Teos, which dates back to 2,000 B.C. The concert was organized by İzmir’s Seferihisar Municipality and the Greek Foreign Ministry.

Greek soprano Myrsini Margariti performed four arias in the concert, conducted by Cem Mansur and viewed by around 2,000 people, including Seferihisar Mayor Tunç Soyer, Greek Consul General to İzmir Theodore Tsakırıs and the head of Teos Ancient City excavations, Associate Professor Musa Kadıoğlu. At the end of the event, Mayor Soyer presented a plaque, made of natural stones, to Mansur, Margariti and the founder of the orchestra, Leni Konialidis. The orchestra also performed a concert on July 30 at the Homerio theater on the Greek island of Chios.
